BROWNWOOD – August 2, 2024 – Howard Payne University recently awarded 149 degrees at Commencement ceremonies held for August 2023, December 2023 and May 2024 graduates. Degrees were presented by Dr. Cory Hines, HPU president, and other university personnel. The ceremonies were held on May 11 in HPU’s Mims Auditorium.
Graduation honors are based on the cumulative grade point average as follows: Cum Laude, 3.55 to 3.69; Magna Cum Laude, 3.70 to 3.84; and Summa Cum Laude, 3.85 to 4.0.
